Sophomore Leland King led the Bears with 17 points and eight rebounds in the game and was named to the Las Vegas Invitational All-tournament team. Meanwhile, fellow sophomore, Steven Spieth added 16 points to get Brown the victory.

Tre Haggord led Prairie View with 23 points in the game.
After a four game and nine day road trip the Brown Bears return home on Sunday, November 30 to host Johnson and Wales. Tip off is set for 4 p.m.

Five Takeaways from Browns 81-71 Win over Prairie View
J.R. Hobbie
In the last game, J.R. Hobbie made the start and did not have a good game. He only had three points and missed four of the five shots that he took from three-point land.
Hobbie bounced back in this game coming off the bench. In 24 minutes Hobbie had 12 points and was lethal from beyond the arc, knocking down four of six shots.
He also added two rebounds for the Bears in the win. Nice bounce back game for J.R. Hobbie
Steven Spieth
Sophomore Steven Spieth had a nice game for the Bears against Prairie View. Spieth posted 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists along with one steal and one block.
Spieth went six of seven from the field including two of two from beyond the arc for the Brown Bears. He also knocked down both of his free throws.
The only negative part about Spieth's game tonight was the team leading six turnovers that he committed
Line up changes
Coming into this game on a five game losing streak Brown head coach Mike Martin changed the line up .
A lineup that has been King, Kuakumensah, Maia, Spieth and Blackmon this season was changed to Longji Yiljep, Kuakumensah, Maia, Spieth and Jason Massey.
Massey had a terriffic game for the Bears in his first start posting nine points on four of five shooting from the field, five assists, three rebounds and one steal in 20 minutes of action.
Will be interesting to see what coach Martin does with his lineup in the next game against Johnson and Wales.
Leland King
As part of coach Martin's line up change, Leland King started the game on the bench for the Bears but did end up playing 24 minutes in the game.
King had 17 points, three assists and eight rebounds for the Brown Bears and was named to the Las Vegas Invitational All-tournament team.
King made six of his ten shots from the field and knocked down all five of the free throws that he took.
Closing out the game
Over the last couple of games, the Bears have gone into the half with a lead and then came out in the second half and gotten blown out.
In this game, Brown began to change that trend. They went into the half with a 38-37 lead and came out in the second Half and played very well, extending their lead. Brown out scored Prairie View 43-34 in the second half.
This should help Brown build some confidence when they take a lead into the half.
