Brown Snaps Losing Streak, Beat Prairie View 81-71

The Brown University Men's basketball team (2-5) defeated (0-7) Prairie View 81-71 on Friday afternoon in the Las Vegas Invitational. The win snaps a five game losing streak for the Brown Bears.

Sophomore Leland King led the Bears with 17 points and eight rebounds in the game and was named to the Las Vegas Invitational All-tournament team. Meanwhile, fellow sophomore, Steven Spieth added 16 points to get Brown the victory.

J.R. Hobbie also had a big game off the bench for Brown, posting 12 points connecting on four of his six shots from three-point land. 

Tre Haggord led Prairie View with 23 points in the game. 

After a four game and nine day road trip the Brown Bears return home on Sunday, November 30 to host Johnson and Wales. Tip off is set for 4 p.m.
