Cranston West Set For World Series Debut vs South Carolina

Cranston West is set to play their first game in the Little League World Series tonight at 5 p.m. against South Carolina. The game was originally set for 4 p.m. but got moved back due to weather. Cranston's game can be found on ESPN.

Viewing Party

Looking for a place to watch the game? A viewing party will be held at the Thirsty Beaver, located at 288 Atwood Avenue in Cranston. The party starts at 4 p.m. and will be attended by Cranston Mayor Allan Fung.

The Road to Williamsport

Cranston West got to the World Series by defeating New Hampshire 10-4 in the New England Championship on Sunday, August 16 in Bristol. This is the second time in League History that Cranston West has made it to the World Series and the second straight season in which a Rhode Island team has made it to the World Series.

Little League World Series Format

The Little League World Series consists of 16 teams, eight from the United States and eight international, playing in a double elimination tournament with the World Series Championship game being held on August 30.
