Former Patriots Super Bowl Hero Malcolm Butler Arrested on DUI Charges in Rhode Island

According to court documents, charges were filed on March 21, 2024, in the 3rd Division District Court.
The offense date allegedly occurred on March 16, 2024.
The North Providence Police Department was the arresting agency.
Butler, who is being represented by former Rhode Island House Speaker John Harwood, is due to be arraigned on March 28.
Harwood declined to comment, telling GoLocal he would have more to say following Butler’s court appearance on Thursday.
Former NFL Star
Butler, a Mississippi native, was a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Patriots as well as a Pro-Bowl selection.
During Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks in 2015, Butler intercepted a Seahawks pass attempt at the goal line to secure the New England victory.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who received a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado as part of his Super Bowl XLIX MVP Award, said he planned to give the truck to Butler. At the request of Brady, Chevrolet awarded the truck directly to Butler.
