PC Leads the Big East in Players Entering the Transfer Portal

The Providence College men’s basketball team is being hit hardest by players entering the transfer portal of any program in the Big East Conference.

 

Since the portal officially opened on Monday, the Friars have seen six players enter the portal — twice the number of the next closest schools in the Big East.

No other Big East team has more than three players. Both DePaul and Xavier have three players and five schools have one player each entering the portal.

 

The three top programs — St. Johns, UConn, and Creighton have yet to have a player declare. Each one one game in this year's NCAA tournament.

Connecticut — None to Date

 

Creighton — Larry Johnson

 

DePaul — JJ Traynor, Conor Enright, Jacob Meyer

 

Georgetown — Drew Fielder

 

Marquette — None to Date

 

Providence — Bryce Hopkins, Justyn Fernandez, Christ Essandoko, Eli Delaurier, Anton Bonke, Jayden Pierre

 

Seton Hall — Isaiah Coleman

 

St. John’s — None to Date

 

Villanova — Nnanna Njoku

 

Xavier — Dailyn Swain, Cam'Ron Fletcher, Trey Green
