Revolution Beat Toronto 3-1 For 5th Straight Win

The New England Revolution (12-9-7) defeated (11-12-4) Toronto FC 3-1 on Sunday evening in Toronto. The Revolution have now won five straight games and have outscored opponents 13-2 during the streak. 

The Revolution got on the board early in the first half when Toronto defender Damien Perquis scored an own goal  to put New England up 1-0 in the fourth minute. 

The Revs added to their lead in the form of Diego Fagundez who found the back of the net in the 39th minute to put New England up 2-0 in the match. This is the third straight game in which Fagundez has had a goal.

In the second half, Toronto's Robbie Findley scored in the 55th minute to cut the Revs lead to just one however Kelyn Rowe would seal the victory with a goal in the 71st minute. 

With the win, New England is now in fourth place and six points ahead of Toronto. 

The Revolution return to action on Wednesday, September 16 when they host the New York Red Bulls at Gillette Stadium.
