URI Alum Salibi Wins Women's Division of U.S. Army's Shadow 10 Miler in Iraq

University of Rhode Island alum Victoria Salibi won the women's division of the Army's Shadow 10 Miler in Baghdad, Iraq.

The race, which took place on Sunday, is put on every year by the Association of the US Army in Washington DC for soldiers that are deployed overseas.

Salibi is an Army Judge Advocate Genera (JAG) with Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 101st Airborne Division stationed in Iraq. 

Prior to joining the Army, Salibi graduated from URI in 2010 before attending St. John's Law School, where she graduated in 2013. 

She is the daughter of former State Rep. and WPRO host, John Loughlin. 

The Army 10 Miler 

The Army 10-miler for those in the United States will be held on October 9 in Washington D.C. 

The race is now in its 32nd year and all proceeds benefit Soldier MWR programs.
