Pitts on Record
On Wednesday, Pitt shared the following:
"Some bittersweet news to share…
I'm leaving WPRI at the end of September. I'm so grateful that I got to report for this station for the last two years, and in Rhode Island for the last five years.
There's nothing like reporting in your home market. I was lucky enough to do it at two TV stations here.
At WPRI, I met my love William and so many lifelong friends. I’ve been the luckiest girl in the world to work with some of the best photojournalists in this industry. Working in the field each day alongside Corey Welch and Ryan Welch is what I'll miss the most.
As for what's next, I'm not giving up on the TV news biz— I'II be moving one state over to work as a reporter for NBC Connecticut. I'm thrilled to become a part of the NBCUniversal family.
I'll always be a Rhody girl through and through.
This has been an excruciatingly difficult decision for me, but I had to choose what's best for me and my future. Thanks for your viewership and support over the years. I hope you’ll continue to follow me in this new chapter."
