On Friday morning, Berger shared the following:
"An end of an era and the start of beautiful beginnings…
Disclaimer: This will be a heavy post with a personal and professional, “hard launch” of sorts. Make sure you read all of it…if you want to.
Today is my last day at Hot 106…which means it’s my last day co-hosting The Hot Morning Show with Bekah and Mike D. A twelve-year journey with a station that has been so meaningful and pivotal to my career. My love for this signal and my co-workers and our listeners deserves its own post so that will come later. I won’t tell you to, “stay tuned” because guess what…I can tell you exactly where I’m heading…
Beginning on Monday July 31st you’ll hear me every morning alongside Giovanni Giovanni and Jay Buff on 92 PRO-FM. Truly the biggest opportunity of my career and as a native Rhode Islander and sixteen-year radio employee…a dream come true.
I have so many feelings but above all else I feel excitement and gratitude. Gratitude for those who have come before me, for those who continue to mentor and inspire me, those who gave me this opportunity and for those who have offered me love and support.
A special thank you to those of you who have been with me since my early days with WPRO: a journey that started fresh out of URI screening phone calls for Buddy Cianci, producing for Gene Valicenti and hosting a one-hour weekend entertainment show.
I'm trying to avoid this turning into an acceptance speech but it’s important to me to also recognize my family and most importantly…my beautiful little girls…who I’m just trying to make proud.
The headline is: I’m in my 92 PRO FM era now…and I still can’t believe it"
