One of the Providence-TV market's favorite anchors is leaving.

Danielle North’s co-host, Patrick Little, posted to social media on Friday that she is leaving the station, WPRI-12.

“This is a really sad/bittersweet day I have spent more time with Danielle North over the last 28 years or so than I have with my own family! We have worked together for more than half our lives!! Danielle has decided to start a new chapter of her life outside of the television business. I am SO happy for her because SHE is leaving on her own terms and doing what she thinks is best for her and her family. I obviously need more than this small space to tell you how much this person means to me both on the air and off camera. Love ya D-North and I’m going to miss working with you!! Cheers to the next adventure AND no more 2:42am alarms!” Posted Little.

According to her official bio:

Danielle has been with 12 News since making the trek south from New Hampshire back in 1999. She has covered many of the big stories in New England over the years, including several presidential primaries dating back to 1996. Her personal favorite was reporting from the red carpet in LA for the very first season of Survivor when a Rhode Islander took home the big prize — and it was announced live!

She began her journalism career at WVNY-TV in Burlington, Vermont, and also worked for WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire. In fact, she worked with Patrick Little before he also made the move to Lil’ Rhody.

Danielle is a proud graduate of Lyndon State College in Vermont and resides in the West Bay with her husband and three children.
