Bristol County Savings Bank Awards $82K in Grants to 14 Pawtucket Non-Profits

Bristol County Savings Bank has awarded grants totaling $82,000 to 14-non-profits in the Pawtucket area.

In the total, the bank presented $274,423 in grants to 39 non-profit organizations in Pawtucket, as well as Taunton/Attleboro and New Bedford-Dartmouth/Fall River regions.

Patrick J. Murray, Jr., President of the BCSCF and President & CEO of BCSB, awarded the grants to the organizations.

“We look at these charitable organizations in the greater Pawtucket area as 14 points of light in our community and it is our hope that the grants provided by our Foundation will make those lights shine as brightly as possible. Being a community bank, it is a core principle of ours to support the neighborhoods were our customers live and work so we look forward to seeing firsthand the positive impact these grants make throughout Pawtucket and across the state,” said Murray.

The organizations in Pawtucket that received grants from the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation (BCSCF) are as follows: Day One ($5,000), Festival Ballet Providence ($3,000), Friends of Pawtucket Public Library ($5,000), Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island ($5,000), Mixed Magic Theatre ($3,000), The Pawtucket Soup Kitchen ($2,000), Providence Children’s Museum ($7,500), Reach Out and Read Rhode Island ($7,500), Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School ($3,000), St. Cecilia School ($3,500), St. John Paul II Parish ($3,000), The Learning Community Charter School ($7,500), The Pawtucket Foundation ($22,000) and The YMCA of Pawtucket ($5,000).
