The MAE Organization for the Homeless extends heartfelt gratitude to outgoing Executive Director Isa Price for her remarkable contributions and is pleased to welcome Tuni Schartner as its new Executive Director.
Schartner, a dedicated advocate for community-driven solutions, brings extensive experience in leadership, organizational growth, and nonprofit development. Having been involved with MAE since its inception—from serving as an early volunteer and Board member to her daughter’s fundraising efforts and her son’s videography at meal sites—she has long demonstrated her commitment to the organization’s mission.
"I am thrilled to return to MAE, working alongside Founder Martinha Javid, the Board, and our passionate volunteers to strengthen and expand the vital programs that serve our community," said Schartner. "Together, we will build capacity for sustainability and long-term growth, reaching and uplifting even more individuals in need."
Javid said, "Having known Tuni both personally and professionally for many years, I have no doubt in her ability to lead MAE to new heights. Her dedication to assisting those facing homelessness and mental health challenges aligns perfectly with our mission, and we eagerly anticipate the innovative ideas she will bring."
MAE Organization for the Homeless provides holistic support, including nutritional aid, housing assistance, and mental wellness programs to individuals at risk and experiencing homelessness. Under Schartner’s leadership, the organization is poised to enhance its impact and foster greater stability and hope for vulnerable populations.
