Upserve’s Founder Davis Steps Down, Hoskins Now CEO

Angus Davis, Founder of Upserve
Angus Davis, one of Rhode Island’s most successful business leaders, has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer of Upserve, the innovative restaurant technology support company he founded nearly a decade ago.

Davis remains a strategic advisor to the board of Upserve according to his LinkedIn profile. The company is designed to help “restaurants thrive: optimizing menus, staff performance, boosting profits and delighting guests” through the adoption of the company's platform.

In 2017, Upserve became part of the Vista Equity Partners portfolio, in the largest private equity software transaction in Rhode Island history. That cash infusion was intended to drive Upserve's revenue  “from mid-eight figures of revenue today, to nine figures of revenue,” according to an interview with Boston Inno.
