Author Dinah Fried to Discuss Her Book "Fictitious Dishes" at Prov Public Library

Dinah Fried to speak at the Providence Public Library
Author, and Rhode Island School of Design graduate, Dinah Fried will speak at the Providence Public Library about her book "Fictitious Dishes."

Fried will be at the Library on Wednesday, May 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Library’s meeting room on the third floor. 

Following the discussion, a book sale and signing will take place.

The program is free and open as part of the Library’s On the Table program series from March through June.

Dinah Fried 

Fried is a designer, art director, and amateur table-setter. In 2014, she co-founded Small Stuff, a design studio based in New York. 

She holds an MFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and a BA in English from Tufts University. 

She currently teaches at RISD. 

Fictitious Dishes 

The book offers 50 iconic culinary scenes from literary classics such as Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Oliver Twist, To Kill a Mockingbird and the Bell Jar. 

The book provides  food facts and stories bout the authors of the featured books, their work, as well as, their culinary predilections.
