Shearer's Foods Recalls Potato Chips Due to Salmonella Contamination

The Rhode Island Department of Health is warning consumers that Shearer’s Foods is recalling potato chip products due to possible Salmonella contamination.

The chips were sold under the brand names Deep River, Delish, Larry the Cable Guy, Essential Everyday, and Market Essential.

Shearer's Foods initiated the recall after being told on December 7 by a seasoning supplier that Valley Milk Products LLC had started a recall of a nonfat high heat milk powder and sweet cream buttermilk powder that is used in a variety of their seasonings. No illnesses have been reported to date.
