Acai and Smoothies

“In the Pink” açaí and smoothies is coming to 213 Thayer Street.

As its name suggests, the menu will feature açaí bowls, including such offerings as Pink Dragon (organic pitaya base topped with granola, banana, blueberry, pineapple, coconut flakes and agave) and Coco-Nutty (organic coconut base topped with granola, strawberry, blueberry, pineapple, coconut flakes and nutella), according to its website.

There will be also smoothies, wellness shots, oatmeal bowls, and yogurt parfaits.

And, according to its website, In the Pink is currently hiring.

Noodles and More

On the same block of Thayer Street next to Waterman Street, another new business is slated to open.

Signs in windows show that “Mala Noodles” is hiring staff for the new restaurant.

While the business does not currently have a website, the definition of mala noodles on “Chez Jorge” is they are a  “fusional take on summer cold noodles inspired by Taiwanese and Korean flavors. Spicy, cool, and refreshing, guaranteed to wake you right up on a hot summer’s day.”

Poke Works, which had been located in the strip along with the new restaurants, will be moving across the street to a bigger location — the site on the corner of Thayer and Waterman that had formerly been Minuteman Press.
