I&R, Zach Schmidt, Safari at Columbus Theater.
The Columbus Cooperative proudly presents an album release party for I&R with special guests Zach Schmidt and Safari.
The concert begins at 7 p.m.
About I&R
Providence native Josh Cournoyer has called Nashville home for the past four years, but it’s his East Coast musical beginnings that provided the inspiration for his full-length album Bankrupt City. After spending more than a decade in bands in the Northeast, touring the East Coast and working in music venues throughout New England, Cournoyer headed South in 2014. The growing pains of those first few years in a new city (particularly one that seems, at times, intimidatingly saturated with musicians) led to Cournoyer writing the songs that would become I&R, his first solo effort.

Jimmie Vaughan at Greenwich Odeum
Jimmie Vaughan's new album, "BABY, PLEASE COME HOME," is a rolling and righteous celebration of everything the blues can be. The songs can go up, down, sideways and even off in their own distinctive direction, but one thing is certain, each and every one of them is packed with pure feeling and striking originality.
That's because while the blues is almost as old as America itself, every time a musician lends their soul to living inside these songs, something new comes out. There is a constant reinvention for musicians like Vaughan, because the blues demands it.
The concert begins at 7 p.m.
