The Avon Cinema has been located on the East Side of Providence since 1938.
The Cinema is an independent and foreign film first run movie house.
Admission is just $11.00 and a matinee is only $8.50
The Theatre is open from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. Monday to Sunday.
Waterbury, Vermont
Take a 30 minute tour of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream factory in Vermont and see where your favorite flavors of ice cream are made.
The factory is open year round and admission is just $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and kids 12 and under are FREE.

Portland, Maine
Allagash Brewing Company offers FREE beer tasting every day that they are open. Participants receive four, 3 oz samples of beer during the tasting.

Boston, Massachusetts
Since 1983, the Boston Fire Museum has operated in the old fire house on Congress street showing off the history of the Boston Fire Department. The Museum shows off antique fire equipment, fire alarm displays, photo displays and artifacts.
Admission to the Museum is FREE.
Providence, Rhode Island
The Providence Children's Museum has great events and exhibits for children and families. Makes for a great way to spend an afternoon.

Burlington, Vermont

The Norman Rockwell Museum, located in the Berkshires is filled with cool art, exhibits, new digital experiences and even a gift shop.

Pawtucket, Rhode Island
The Slater Mill is an historic textile mill complex on the banks of the Blackstone River in Pawtucket.
Slater Mill was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966.
Admission is $12 for adults.
Visit the L.L. Bean Flagship Store
Freeport, Maine
The L.L. Bean Flagship store in Maine is open all hours, literally. The store is open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year to fill everyone's shopping needs.
Admission to the store is free of course and there is plenty of cool things to buy for $25 or less.
Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA)
North Adams, Massachusetts
Located in the Berkshires, the Museum of Contemporary Art has an exhibit for just about everyone. One of their current exhibits is titled entertaining doubts by Jim Shaw and details the fall of heroes, the economy and more.
Admission to the gallery is $18 and kids under five are FREE.

Newport, Rhode Island
The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages," and is a national historic landmark.
The Breakers is a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America.

New Hampshire
New Hampshire's Lakes Region is well known for it''s ice fishing during the winter months. It's practically a tradition.
But be safe, it takes 4-6 inches of ice to support a person and 8-10 inches to support a vehicle.

Newport, Rhode Island
The Newport Art Museum is filled with historical pictures, exhibits and activities for the entire family. You may want to even take part in the Winter Speaker Series this is under way.
The Newport Art Museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
Admission is just $10 for adults.
Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame
Springfield, Massachusetts
See where the legends of the game are honored at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield.
The Hall of Fame is open Wednesday to Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Worcester, Massachusetts
The Worcester Art Museum has plenty of cool exhibits to keep you entertained for hours like Flora in Winter or their Blue Photography exhibit. The Museum is a great place for families and kids of all ages.
The Museum is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m from Wednesday to Friday and Sunday and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 pm.

Providence, Rhode Island
The Providence Sky Chiefs, now of the Premier Basketball League, are back for the 2016 season.
The Sky Chiefs won the BENRUS Pro Basketball Championship last season and will be looking for more titles this season.

Boston, Massachusetts
Old North Church, located on Salem Street, is Boston's oldest surviving church, and it's also the place where Paul Revere gave the signal that the "British were coming," on April 18,1775.
Once he gave the signal, two lanterns were raised high, meaning that they were coming by sea to Lexington and Concord, not land.
This event began the American Revolution.
