The Columbus Theatre
First up, the Columbus Theatre has another great week ahead. Headlining tonight is Tallahassee, with rockers Last Good Tooth and Smith and Weeden opening. Tomorrow night, it’s Youngstown, Ohio “gospel comedy” band Snake Wagon with Dr. Gasp and The Harleys opening. Tuesday Nov 5th, check out Seattle roots rockers Sallie Ford and the Sound Outside at the Columbus. It’s a pretty good stretch of shows! Check the Columbus website for all the details.
The Narrows Center
The Narrows Center has two big names in town for their 12th Anniversary weekend. Tonight, its Little Feat founder Bill Payne. The talented keyboardist is also an accomplished photographer and will be in town with his exhibition, "Tracing Footsteps: A Journal of Home and the Road.” Tomorrow night, head out for 90’s sensation Paula Cole. Cole, who won the Grammy for Best New Artist in 1998, is touring on the heels of her latest album, Raven. Check the Narrows site for tickets prices.

A big show tonight at The Met in Pawtucket. Cranston native Mike Stud is ready to rock the hometown crowd. The YouTube star (and former college baseball star), is touring in support of his debut album, Relief, which made it to #1 on the hip-hop charts. Tonight’s show is sold out, but he’s already scheduled another show at The Met for December 28.
The Toasters
Sunday night, head to The Spot in Providence for Ska originals The Toasters. Part of the “third wave” of Ska, the NYC based act is known as “the longest running Ska band in America.” Several bands including Senior Discount, the Custies, and the Copacetics open the 18+ show. Tickets are $10 at the door, $12 in advance - music starts at 7:30.
Ani DiFranco
Finally, folk rocker Ani DiFranco is at the Park Theatre in Cranston next Thursday November 7th. DiFranco is a true original, an early “indie” artist who continues to challenge the status quo in the music world. A few tickets remain starting at $35 for the 7:30 show.
