David Lindley at Lilypads Saturday

David Lindley is perhaps best known as Jackson Browne’s collaborator and lead guitarist. The guitar guru was an integral part of the 70’s California rock scene, and has played with everyone including Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Warren Zevon and Bob Dylan. His solo shows are known to feature his skills on a multitude of stringed instruments. Check him out tomorrow night as part of “Music at Lillypads,” a concert series held in Peacedale. Kingston Trio Benefit at Park Theatre Saturday

The Kingston Trio, who formed in the late 1950’s, are best known for their role in bringing folk music to the masses. Behind songs like “Tom Dooley” and “Sloop John B,” they were hugely popular, with album sales rivaling the Beatles. Tomorrow night, they play a special benefit concert sponsored by RI4GI’s in support of a disabled veterans golf training program at the Button Hole Golf Training Center. Great band – great cause – don’t miss it! Tickets start at $35 for the 8PM show.

David Lindley Plays Lilypads in Peacedale Saturday Night

Joe Fletcher at Columbus Theatre Tonight

Rhode Island native Joe Fletcher, who now resides in Nashville, is retuning to town for a show tonight at the Columbus Theatre in Providence. Fletcher’s 2014 release, You’ve Got the Wrong Man, highlights his country/roots sound, and was well received by critics and fans. It’s his last area show until Newport Folk in July, and its usually a sell out when Joe visits, so get your tickets now! Ian Fitzgerald opens at 9PM. Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the door.

Allman, Neville, Pitchell at Knickerbocker Saturday

Three famous names in music come together tomorrow at the Knickerbocker Café in Westerly. Michael Allman, Charles Neville and Jeff Pitchell bring the best of the Allman Brothers and the Neville Brothers together with one of the area’s top guitarists (Pitchell) for a New Orleans influenced roots rock extravaganza. The show begins at 8:30PM and tickets are $25 at the door.

Donna the Buffalo at Courthouse Center Saturday

Donna the Buffalo are an Americana band who describe their music as “Feel-Good Groove-Oriented Americana Roots Rock.” They have gained a big following (their dedicated supporters are known as “the Herd”), playing shows and festivals since forming in 1989. Put on your dance shoes and hurry down to North Kingstown’s Courthouse Center for the Arts tomorrow night. Tickets are $25 for the 8PM show.
