Fit for Life: Are You the Ultimate Machine?

We were designed by God to be the superior species. However, we are not a species meant to physically survive the elements. (ps. I am not a religious person. However, we have a creator, so insert the one you feel is responsible for making this all happen)

It's the fact that we are intelligent enough to manufacture the resources to survive that we still exist.
We don't grow a fur coat in the winter and can't withstand long hours in the sun without protection.
We don't have protective armor, claws, or venom, so we can defend against predators.
We can't camouflage ourselves, nor do we have the ability to outrun most other animals.
Our vital organs are exposed, and our feet can't withstand the abuse most other mammals can without shoes.
In general, we are a weak and vulnerable species by nature.
But the good news is that we have the intelligence to create fire, shelter, and protective clothing to withstand the elements.
We can out-smart predators and manufacture all the necessities to live a comfortable life.
We can hunt, develop, manufacture, build, and kill for survival.
So my question to you is….. why are we constantly undoing what God has created.
I was observing people at the airport last week. To my astonishment, I had difficulty finding a handful of people who could withstand 24 hours in the elements if needed.
I try to be nonjudgmental when I see guys with a big gut hanging over their belts and watch women struggle to pick up the pace when heading to their gate. Still, all these things are avoidable and uncalled for.
Sadly, this is the reality we live in. However, the good news is that we can change this if we desire to.
My thought process sometimes goes to the dark side at airports, as I think: "What if we crash in a remote area and survive the crash?" Who can I depend on to help me lead the rest of us to safety?
Looking through the crowd, I see a group of liabilities instead of resources.
The whole plane is doomed if something devastating were to happen.
Remember God's intention? He wanted to develop the ultimate machine when he designed humans.
•He didn't make folks 10, 20, 30+ pounds overweight.
•He didn’t design food that makes us fat and unhealthy.
•He didn’t envision poor movement patterns and deteriorating joints.
•He didn't design drugs and medication to put us in a good mood or regulate our blood pressure.
Nope, that was all us. We do this and continuously do things that are detrimental to our health.
•We were designed to stand tall, bend, and crawl when necessary.
•We were designed to run, hunt, and gather.
•We were designed to eat Mother Earth's food, not stuff made in a lab.
So now that I have illuminated all the man-made human deficiencies, what can we do to reverse the process?
I have a simple formula for ultimate health.
It involves 4 things you must habitually do daily, and you will be guaranteed good health.
1. Eat clean food. Stay away from packaged/processed garbage and eat only real natural food that Earth provides.
2. Drink enough water. You need to consume 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water daily to maintain optimal health.
3. Get some sleep. When we sleep, we reset and repair. Lack of sleep is detrimental to your health.
4. Move. Do 30 minutes of exercise daily. (this is why Providence Fit Body Boot Camp clients are so fit and strong). Remember, we were designed to move, so move or lose it.
It’s that simple. You don’t need to hunt, make clothing, create fire, or struggle to survive.
It’s all right in front of us, but we need to want to improve and become the best version of ourselves.
Think about all the what if, and let's look at the outcome.
•What if we prioritized our health and MADE time to get to the gym daily for 30 minutes of movement?
•What if we stopped eating sugar regularly?
•What if we limited alcohol to 1 day per week?
•What if we focused on getting 8 hours of sleep every night?
•What if we invested 90 minutes per week prepping good quality food to fuel our bodies?
•What if we read something productive for 15 minutes daily and avoided social media gossip?
•What if we did one thing per day that would set us up for future monetary success?
•What if we avoided all things detrimental to our health?
Think about it no more because I am telling you that your quality of life will improve on all levels.
We have evolved to the point that we don’t need to worry about the elements or some wild animal coming into our dens and eating us.
We have the resources to live a productive life, but we need to stop defying God's intentions and start doing what will give us the best outcome for a vital and fulfilling future.
Remember, it's never too late—until it is. Take action today and start living up to the title of "The Ultimate Human".
