Indie Artist Sues Justin Bieber Over Melody for "Sorry"

Justin Bieber
Indie artist Casey Dienel, who records under the name White Hinterland, has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Justin Bieber. Dienel claims that Bieber's song "Sorry" borrows heavily from her song "Ring the Bell."

She argues that Bieber's song copies the vocal riff that is prominently featured in her song.

The lawsuit was filed against Bieber and the song's producer Skrillex, as well as against "other responsible parties."
