Let creative minds roam today at the East Providence Public Library
Hey, moms! Looking for fun things to do during the week? Creative spots for last-minute outings? Fun events especially for toddlers and elementary schoolers? We'll bring you our 5 favorites in the region every Tuesday, and they're all within an hour's drive of home. Check out this week's December fun!

Create!

Load up the kids and head to the East Providence Public Library TODAY at 3:45pm for a great, eco-friendly craft. The event, suitable for kiddos ages 1-5, will teach participants to use recycled materials to create one of a kind masterpieces. After the crafting is complete, grab a book from the children’s room to curl up with at home!

Creatures!

ArtsWorcester is collaborating with the Fitchburg Art Museum this month for their December exhibit “Creatures, Real and Imagined.” This artistic collaboration will be sure to inspire the imaginations of your little ones, and best of all it is free! Highlights will include animals and whimsical imaginary creature creations. This is a can't miss!

Snow!

Do your kids love the snow? If so, take a visit to Ski Ward in Shrewsbury, MA. Ski Ward has a special “Snow School” program geared towards kids aged 4-7, vacation week programs, and other great opportunities for little ones. Little ones get into the holiday spirit, and what better way to feed their joy than creating a brand new Christmastime tradition? Take a trip to Blithewold Mansion in Bristol, RI for their annual Christmas at Blithewold celebration. Skate!

What better way to celebrate the winter season than with a midweek skate? Bundle up in a warm winter coat, pack a thermos full of hot chocolate and head downtown for a lunchtime skate on the Worcester Common Oval. On Thursdays from noon-2pm through the winter season, take advantage of the open skate time that'll perfect for you and your little ones.
