Man Shot in Uber After Being Picked Up From Downtown Hotel Near AMP

A man was shot Thursday morning in downtown Providence.

According to police, the male victim had left a hotel in an Uber, and when the vehicle stopped at the intersection in front of the Amica Mutual Pavillon, shots rang out, and the victim was hit.

Police say the Uber driver then took the victim to the hospital.
