Providence Police are investigating a shooting in the city on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, a man was shot and seriously wounded at the Quality Fuel Gas Station at 414 Smithfield Avenue.

The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

Police are on the scene and currently investigating.

It marks the second shooting in the city on Saturday, after police responded to a report of a man with a gunshot wound shortly before 5 AM.
