According to police — both the boy and the girl are twelve-years-old.

About Incident
Police said that shortly after 6 PM on Sunday, they responded to Douglas Avenue for a report of a girl being shot with a BB gun.
According to police, they met with the victim and a parent; the victim displayed a small wound to her chest area and looked to be in pain.
The victim told police they had been playing in a nearby park — and that she knew the boy who shot her.
Police say at this time, the juvenile male appeared at the scene, also accompanied by a parent.
The suspect told police the BB gun was at his house.
The victim was transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital for treatment; the suspect was arrested, taken to Central Station and turned over to the Youth Services Bureau.
Police said they searched the suspect’s house and seized the BB gun.
