Brown #36 in New College Ranking from Wall St. Journal

Brown is ranked the 36th best college in America, according to this year’s ranking by the Wall Street Journal.

This was an improvement over last year’s ranking. Last year, Brown was ranked #67.

In this the 2025 ranking Brown comes in seventh of the eight Ivy League schools. Only Dartmouth ranked lower.

The WSJ/College Pulse 2025 Best Colleges in the U.S. ranking rates the top 500 universities in the country. The ranking was developed and executed in collaboration with research partners College Pulse and Statista.
