Classical High School Student Robbed by Suspects in Ski Masks

A student at Classical High School was reportedly robbed and assaulted in Providence on Tuesday afternoon. 

According to police, they met with the victim - a 16-year-old boy - who said he had just left school with friends.

The victim told police the students were walking on Haskins Street when he felt someone grab his neck, and he turned to see a person in a ski mask.

The victim said there was another man in a ski mask; one of the suspects had what he said appeared to be a knife. 

According to the victim, one of the suspects grabbed his gold chain off his neck. 

In the altercation, the victim said he dropped his backpack with his Chromebook, which was stolen as well. 

The victim told police the suspects took off on foot and got into a vehicle which then fled the scene.

Detectives are currently investigating.
