Daytime Robbery at CVS in Providence

A CVS was robbed in Providence on Wednesday afternoon.

Shortly after 3 PM on Wednesday, police were called to the CVS located at 400 Admiral Street for a report of a robbery.

Police said they met with the victim — a female employee in her 30s — who said that a man entered the store and approached her, before demanding that she hand over money. 

The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect then fled the store, at which time she called police.

Detectives are currently investigating.

 

Latest in city 

The robbery marks the latest in the city this week. 

As GoLocal reported, shortly after 6 PM on Monday, November 11, police responded to Reyes Gas Station on Broad Street for a report of an armed robbery.

Last weekend, police were called to the Walgreens on Elmwood Avenue shortly after 1 AM on Saturday for a report of an armed robbery.
