Forbes Columnist Siedle Responds to MINDSETTER™ Riley’s Charges

Ted Siedle, Forbes Columnist
Imagine my surprise to learn that, according to Michael Riley, my diabolic influence over former Treasurer Gina Raimondo caused her to hire and fire certain hedge funds.

Apparently for years—unbeknownst to the public (and me)—I have been in control of the state pension.

“Rhode Island losses reached 4.69% at quarter's end and being over $1 billion behind target returns over the last 18 months is alarming,” says Riley.

The good news is Rhode Islanders haven’t had to pay me for secretly managing the pension. On the other hand, I guess I did cause Rhode Island’s spectacular hedge fund losses. Sorry about that.

Actually, says Riley, “union activists” Marcia Reback and AFSCME also are responsible.

Seems everyone except the current and former Treasurer is to blame.

Since the cat is out of the bag and everyone now knows I am in control of the plummeting state pension, I strongly suggest you come to the Rhode Island Retired Teachers Association’s seminar on November 18th at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Warwick.   http://rirta.org/eventsseminars/edward-siedle-event/

Given my omnipotence over Rhode Island’s investments, you cannot afford to miss what I have to say.
