About Incident
Police said they were called to the parking lot behind Opa on Atwells Avenue shortly after 2 AM Saturday morning for a report of a fight.
Opa disputes the police's description and said that the incident did not involve Opa, nor was it on any of its property.
When they arrived, police said they found a male on the ground bleeding from the head.
Prior the assault, an altercation had reportedly broken out between the victim and a female as he was leaving the parking lot in his vehicle.
At that time, additional individuals then approached the victim and began to assault him.
One of the suspects allegedly used a cinder block to attack the victim, who reportedly lost consciousness before all the suspects fled.
Providence Fire Department Rescue was called to the scene.
Detectives are currently investigating.
