According to police, the shooting occurred on Monticello Street, between Charles Street and Branch Avenue, around 7:30 PM on Sunday.
The victim - a 49-year-old male - was reportedly shot while in his driveway.
Police say there are no suspects and no additional information is being released at this time.
It is the 11th homicide of the year.
