A man was stabbed in Providence early Saturday morning.
Due to the extent of his injuries, the victim required emergency surgery, according to reports.

About Incident
Providence Police responded to the area of Cranston and Benedict Streets shortly before 8 AM Saturday morning for a report of a stabbing.
Police said they found a male in his 50s bleeding profusely.
The victim was taken by rescue to Rhode Island Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery for his injuries.
Police currently have a suspect in custody for a disorderly conduct charge and are continuing to investigate.
