Man Arrested in Domestic Stabbing in Providence Had Outstanding Warrant for Child Molestation

A man arrested in a domestic stabbing in Providence on Saturday was found to have an outstanding child molestation warrant, according to police. 

About Incident 

Police were called to the 200 block of Prairie Avenue shortly after 6 PMI on Saturday for a report of a stabbing.

The victim, a male in his 30s, told police that he had gotten into an argument with the suspect -- who he lived with -- before he was stabbed in the stomach.

Police detained the suspect, later identified as Rudolph Bliss, age 54, and located a bloody knife at the scene. 

According to police, a background search for Bliss showed he had an active Superior Court warrant for first-degree child molestation.

Bliss is being held for the next session of court; detectives are continuing to investigate.
