Machete Found on Scene of Triple Stabbing in Providence - Police Investigating

Providence police are investigating a triple stabbing in the Washington Park section of the city overnight.

Shortly before 10 PM Friday night, police responded to a house on Indiana Avenue for a report of a stabbing. 

According to police, two female victims fled from the residence, stating that a man had stabbed them. One of the victims warned police the suspect was armed. 

Police said that upon entering the house, the male suspect refused to respond to comply with command — and police used Tasers to subdue him. 

Another victim -- a male — was located inside the residence with severe wounds. 

Police said there was a significant amount of blood at the scene; they said they also located a machete inside the house. 

The three victims were transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.
