Man Stabbed Multiple Times at After-Hours Party in Providence

A man was reportedly stabbed multiple times at an after-hours party early Saturday morning in Providence. 

About Incident 

Police were called to Fatima Hospital shortly after 5 AM for a report of a male with stab wounds.

According to police, they met with the victim -- a male in his 40s -- who was being treated for multiple stab wounds. 

The victim told police he had joined a friend at an after-hours party somewhere in the area of Manton Avenue.

He said a group of people had been listening to music, when a male suspect began to attack him unprovoked.

The victim said the suspect used a broken bottle to stab him.

According to police, the victim is currently in stable condition. 

Detectives are investigating.
