Multiple people were arrested - and firearms seized - in law enforcement raids led by Providence Police in cities and towns across Rhode Island on Thursday.

The action comes after a months-long investigation into shootings in the City of Providence, police have confirmed.

“Members of our department conducted search warrants, along with ATF and assisted by Pawtucket Police, North Providence Police, and West Warwick Police, the Attorney General’s Office, and State Police,” said Providence Police Major David Lapatin.
