Providence Police are investigating a report of an armed home invasion in the city on Tuesday.

About Incident

According to police, it took place shortly after 8 AM, on Hawkins Street, just off of Admiral Street.

Police say that upon investigation, they learned there was one woman at home at the time.

Two men -- one armed with a handgun -- reportedly invaded the residence and then fled.

Detectives are currently investigating.
