NEW: Coronavirus Hospitalizations Up Over 30% in RI — See Latest Data Here

The Rhode Island Department of Health is reporting that there are currently 80 COVID-19 related hospitalizations in the state.

The number of hospitalizations has steadily risen since the low of 60 on July 7, with 80 marking a 33% increase. 

RIDOH announced 53 new positive cases for a total now of 19,426.

According to RIDOH, there were 2,476 tests conducted yesterday.

Currently, 14 people are in the ICU, with 5 on ventilators.

There were two additional COVID-19 related fatalities reported, bringing the state’s total to 1,010.
