A man was fatally stabbed in the city on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the incident took place shortly after 3 PM.

The victim, a male in his 30s, was stabbed on Sterling Avenue in Silver Lake.

He was taken by rescue to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

It is the city’s ninth homicide of the year.

Police are not releasing any additional information at this time.
