NEW: Fung Moving Campaign Headquarters -- From One Carpionato Property to Another

Allan Fung -- moving from one Carpionato property to another.
Rhode Island Republican gubernatorial candidate — and current Cranston Mayor — Allan Fung is moving his campaign headquarters from his embattled space rented in a Carpionato property in Cranston  — to one in Warwick.

After being the subject of Rhode Island Board of Elections complaints for alleged campaign illegalities for non-payment at his Cranston address, campaign spokesperson Andrew Augustus confirmed the move on Friday.

Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo, House Minority Leader and GOP gubernatorial candidate Patricia Morgan, and Common Cause RI all filed complaints this week against Fung, following a WPRI investigation that unveiled that past checks paid by the Fung campaign to Carpionato were never cashed.

Fung’s Next Step

“615 Greenwich Avenue [in Warwick] is the new headquarters,” said Augustus on Friday, noting it was "next to the Arooga’s.

When asked who the landlord is, Augustus replied, “Carpionato.”

“It was because we have been looking for a bigger space, with more volunteers,” said Augustus. “We are in the process of moving -- we'll be out of Cranston by July 1.”

Augustus confirmed Friday the price for the 1500 square foot headquarters is $1,000 a month.
