Man Stabbed in Downtown Providence

Police are investigating a stabbing in downtown Providence that occurred on Monday evening.

Shortly after 5 PM, police responded to a report of a stabbing at Washington and Green Streets.

 

According to police, the victim - a male in his 30s - had bloody clothing and a stab wound to his back. 

 

The victim said that he had been approached by multiple individuals before he was stabbed.

 

He added that his shoes were taken during the incident. 

 

Rescue took the victim to Rhode Island Hospital and detectives are currently investigating.
