Two Teens Shot in Providence - Taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital

Two teenage boys were shot in Providence on Saturday afternoon.

The victims were transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital for treatment.

About Incident 

Providence Police responded to Reynolds Avenue in South Providence shortly before 2 PM on Saturday. 

Police said that they encountered a vehicle with visible gunshot damage - and two male juvenile victims, both later identified as being 16-years-old. 

A third juvenile, who was driving, was reportedly not injured. 

The victims told police said they had been in the vehicle traveling on Saratoga Street when they heard loud bangs - and realized they had been shot.

One of the victims had injuries to his back and abdomen; the other victim was shot in the leg. 

The victims were transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital for treatment.
