Man Shot in Head in Providence After Fight Over Video Game - Brother in Custody

A man was shot in the head in Providence on Saturday night.

Two brothers were reportedly playing video games when an argument broke out.

According to police, one brother shot the other.

One brother is in custody; the other was taken to the hospital. 

 

About Incident

Shortly after 8 PM, Providence Police responded to East Drive off of Admiral Street for a report of a shooting. 

Police said that when they arrived, the victim - a male in his 20s - was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Providence Rescue transported him to Rhode Island Hospital. 

According to a witness, the victim and his brother had been playing video games when they got into a verbal argument that turned physical, before one brother shot the other and fled.

Police said they later located the suspect and took him into custody.
