Police Arrest Two Masked Men for Superman Building Break-In Over Weekend

Just after midnight on Saturday morning, Providence Police arrested two men who had broken into the Superman Building, GoLocal has learned. 

The two men — identified as Nicholas Vlasyuk, 19, and Kollin Murray,19 — were wearing ski masks and in possession of a crowbar they used to enter the building, according to police.

Police found the men inside the building, hiding in a bathroom.

The two men were arrested and taken to the central station.

 

Latest at Vacant Landmark 

This is not the time the building has been broken into.

In 2019, GoLocal reported on another break-in.

Superman has been vacant for 12 years after Bank of America left the building.

The vacant building is the poster child for urban office building failure.  

The local embarrassment is now a national embarrassment.
