Woman and Man Arrested in Connection with Cranston Stabbing

Cranston Police have arrested one suspect in connection with a stabbing that took place on Northup Street, while a second suspect fled the scene.

Ashley Brogno, 28, of West Warwick was charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon and obstruction of justice.

The second suspect, Brian Raymond, was captured later in the day. He is facing multiple charges and resisting arrest, according to Cranston Police,

The Incident

Cranston Police say, on Thursday, February 20 at approximately 10:20 am, a 9-1-1 call was received from 226 Northup Street, reporting a subject had been stabbed at that location.

Members of the Patrol Division responded and placed Brogno under arrest.

The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

According to Cranston Police, it was determined that an additional suspect, identified as Raymond fled the scene before the arrival of responding officers.

The Cranston Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Raymond for felony assault with a dangerous weapon (Domestic).

Raymond was last seen leaving the Northup Street address on foot.
