Caiozzo Announces Run for Congress, Will Challenge Langevin for 2nd District

Salvatore Caiozzo
Disabled US veteran Salvatore Caiozzo has announced his candidacy for the 2nd Congressional district in Rhode Island. Running as a Republican, he will be challenging Democratic Congressman Jim Langevin, who has been a member of Congress for 18 years.

"Congressional district two has been represented by a person with a record of being a 'follower' for the past 18 years - Rhode Island deserves a leader, and a fighter in Washington who will ensure that our state is not ignored by the federal government. It is my goal to bring solution oriented leadership to D.C. I am currently organizing committees of regular everyday people with expertise in several areas to advise me on the real issues and provide real solutions. I am dedicated to solving problems intelligently, simply, directly, and constitutionally for all Rhode Islanders,” said Caiozzo.

His official announcement will be held on Thursday, September 14 at the American Legion Post 43.
