Former State Rep. Williams Gets Job at Providence Recreation Dept.

Williams, who lost her reelection bid for her seat, is the new coordinator for community organizations for the Providence Recreation Department.
“I am the liaison with community organizations for the recreation department,” Williams told GoLocal.

She said she started on Monday and did not know her exact pay, but other sources said she is being paid $67,653 a year in her new role.
Willams represented the 9th District in the House from 1993 to 2023.
He served as the chair of the House Labor Committee.
She was an outspoken legislator in calling for the addition of Blacks and Hispanics to be appointed to the Rhode Island judiciary.
The feisty legislator took on most any and all over the years at the State House, including Governor Gina Raimondo, legislative leaders, and business interests.
