Gorbea Announces Transition Team

Secretary of State-Elect Nellie Gorbea has announced her transition team to prepare for when she takes office on January 6, 2015.

The Transition Committee is the first of several committees Nellie will create to gather expertise on an array of topics addressed by the Secretary of State’s office.

“During my campaign, I pledged to make elections fair, fast and accurate, to make sure our businesses can easily start and thrive, to bring transparency to government and to increase civic engagement.  My Transition Committee is just as committed as I am to achieving these goals. We all agree that there is no time to waste when it comes to bringing real change to Rhode Island,” said Gorbea. “I am also excited to engage with Rhode Islanders through my website on the topics that matter most to them. Rhode Island’s future is bright, and we will realize that potential together.”
