LIVE ELECTION UPDATE Mollis Winning by Razor Thin Margin 11:45 PM

Secretary of State Ralph Mollis is narrowly winning a tight race with Republican challenger Catherine Taylor. Mollis has 50.6 percent of the vote, while Taylor has 49.4 percent.

The results hand the race to Mollis in what was one of the closest statewide races in Rhode Island.

Mollis garnered 159,949 votes at the polls and 5,931 from mail-in ballots. Taylor, on the other hand, had 156,856 votes at the polls and 5,230 from mail-ins. As of 11:35 p.m. 100 percent of precincts had reported.
