Last week, the first Starbucks in Rhode Island joined the “Starbucks Workers United” unionization effort at the Warwick location on Pace Boulevard.
On Tuesday, Magaziner Tweeted his appearance at the location — and his solidarity.
“Proud to stand with the Starbucks workers preparing to form a union at the Pace Blvd location in Warwick,” he Tweeted.
“Unions build the American middle class, and the right to organize must be protected,” he added.
Dems' de la Cruz Fear Factor
Does the Rhode Island Democratic Party fear GOP State Senator Jessica de la Cruz winning the CD2 primary more than her opponents — including former Cranston Mayor and two-time failed gubernatorial candidate Allan Fung?
It was fear of de la Cruz winning that promoted a fundraising email from the RI Dems on Tuesday.
In it, they wrote the following:
Sen. De la Cruz has built her campaign around the persona of being a working mom, but that doesn’t fool us.
Sen. De la Cruz has consistently demonstrated her negligence for the Rhode Island community. She has been a vocal critic of Rhode Island’s pandemic policies, even during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when our hospitals were breaking their capacity.
How can we trust a senator who cannot care for the people of Rhode Island? Chip in $20 now and let’s take on De la Cruz together.
